The scientific name for Meerkats is Suricata suricatta. It generally found in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, southern savanna and grassland areas., and their distribution depends on the soil type. The male suricata averaging is about 731 grams and female suricata is about 720 grams, and its body and legs of meerkat suricata is long and slender.
