Necturus maculosus – Water Dog

MuddpuppiesMudpuppies are also called waterdogs; always spend their lives in water as like salamander. The scientific name for waterdog is Necturus maculosus. Some salamander will make a noise. Mudpuppies can exceed up to 41 centimeter in its length. The waterdog generally found in Southern Central Canada, United States, North Carolina and South Georgia and also in Mississippi. Waterdogs or mudpuppies lives in the bottom of the lakes and ponds, rivers and streams and it never come out from water. It hides themselves from the rocks, trees and shrubs and its prey is crayfish, snails and worms.
