Black Caiman - World's Largest Alligator


The scientific name for Black Caiman is Melanosuchus nige, is one of the largest of all alligator species. It generally found in South America, these species are depleted by overhunting, but rarely seen in nowadays. It is largest reptile in the world and its length is about 5 meters, and has dark scaly skin in its body.

Black Caiman feeds on turtles, fish, birds and deer. Black Caiman have powerful neck, tails and jaws and can grow up to 60cm. Black Caiman lives only in water , because of their skin type and it’s an carnivore animal. This species protect themselves from predator and it has dark skin.
