Lynx - World's Endangered Cat


The scientific name for Lynx is Lynx pardinus and it commonly called as pardel lynx and Spanish lynx. Lynx generally located in Southern Europe, Portugal, Spain and Mediterranean Forests. Lynx relocate and kill other carnivores like foxes, Egyptian mongooses, and feral cats and dogs; to ensure sufficient supplies of rabbit populations and to protect their offspring.

The female Lynx weight is about 37 kg - 57 kg, and the male lynx is about 40 kg - 62 kg. The gestation period for Lynxis 70 Days, and breeding takes place in winter, i.e., in the month of May or June. Its Lifespan is about 12 to 18 years. For last two centuries, its population has been decreased.
